Formax Introduces New 2300 Series Production Pressure Sealers

April, 2018

DOVER, NH, APRIL ’18: Formax introduces the new 2300 Series Production Pressure Sealers, replacing the 2200 Series, with a new look and user-friendly features.

The new AutoSeal 2300 Series is designed to handle the highest volume jobs with ease and dependability while offering an enhanced user experience. The new color touchscreen control panel is graphics-based and simple to use, further enhanced by the fully-automated settings that allow for quicker and easier setup of jobs. In addition, the 2300 Series faster processing speed of up to 43,000 forms per hour sets the industry standard for speed and production capabilities.

Versatility is key to the 2300 Series, which can process a variety of documents up to 11.5” wide and 25” long, including checks, invoices, school reports, tax forms, PIN notices and direct marketing pieces. In addition to the 20 standard pre-set folds, operators can program and store up to 200 custom jobs.

Four models are available featuring different in-feed options: three models for cut-sheet forms, and one for continuous forms. The FD 2300 utilizes an air-feed system with a capacity of up to 500 forms; the FD 2300-EX has an extended air-feed system to reach a capacity of up to 1,000 forms; the FD 2350 (at right) utilizes a pile feed system to reach a total capacity of up to 3,500 loaded forms; and the FD 2380 works in-line with the Formax FD 676 Maxi Burster to process continuous forms.

The Formax V-Stack36 is an available option which stacks up to 22″ of processed forms, making them easier to unload for further processing.

All four models produce fast and accurate folds to deliver a secure and time-effective finished product ready for the mail. The 2300 Series clearly sets the new standard for high volume processing needs.

Formax Introduces Innovative Touchscreen for FD 346 Tabletop Folder

March, 2018

DOVER, NH, MARCH ’18: Formax introduces the new FD 346 Tabletop Document Folder, replacing the FD 342, with an innovative full-color touchscreen control panel.

The FD 346 is one of the first manual setting folders in the industry to feature a touchscreen. The graphic interface uses internationally-recognized symbols in place of text, making it easy for anyone to use. The FD 346 processes up to 15,500 sheets per hour, in sizes up to 12” W x 18” L. Six popular folds are clearly marked on the rugged metal fold plates for quick and easy set-up and operation, plus fine-tuning knobs provide for precise adjustments. The “1X” button allows operators to fold a single sheet and check the fold accuracy before processing an entire job.

For easy batch processing, the FD 346 features the Formax AutoBatch program. This allows users to input a specific number of sets, number of sheets per set, and the delay between sets.

Standard features include adjustable outfeed wheels, easy-to-remove feed tires, and a patented telescoping conveyor system that holds up to 500 folded sheets. The FD 346 also includes a cross folding guide, which provides the option to process a folded sheet in a second pass at a 90 degree angle.

An optional multi-sheet feeder has the capacity to fold up to 4 stapled or unstapled sheets at the same time.

The FD 346 is proudly made in the USA, and with its intuitive and innovative touchscreen, it’s ideal for small businesses, schools, and offices looking for affordable automation and ease of use.
